How big is Jordan's Barn and how many guests will it accommodate?

The total square footage is 6,200 sq. ft.; the bottom floor is 5100 square feet and the upstairs is 1,100 sq. ft., all climate-controlled, and will seat up to 300 guests.

Can we use any vendors we want?

Yes, you can use any vendor you’d like, as long as they adhere to the rules of the venue.  If you need help with vendors, please ask as we have a list of awesome ones!

How far in advance should I reserve the venue?

Booking a venue is one of the first things on a bride's to-do-list.  To ensure availability, the sooner you book the better!  

How long do I have access to the venue?

For a WeekEnd (Two Days) Wedding, you have access the day before the wedding from 8:00 a.m until 10:00 p.m. and for the day of the wedding, you have access from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. (vendors have until midnight). For a WeekEnd (One Day) Wedding, you have access from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. the day of the wedding (vendors have until midnight). For a WeekDay (One Day) Wedding, you have access from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. the day of the wedding (vendors have until 10 p.m.). 

 

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?  We are very proud of our venue and do not allow holes to be placed in the walls.  The beams are very tall and not reachable by a ladder.  For your safety, we do not allow for anything to be hung from the beams. The staircase and balcony railings may be decorated.  Removable COMMAND STRIPS can be used to hang items.  We hope you find Jordan's Barn beautiful without extra work.

What are the guidelines for cleanup at weddings?

We will handle all of the standard clean up and trash removal throughout the day and during the reception. Just make sure you remove all of your personal belongings and decorations.  Caterers are responsible for the prep kitchen clean up.

 

What are the rules for caterers?

Caterers must serve/set up, package any leftover food, take out trash and clean up after their services and setup areas. Jordan's Barn’s kitchen is a Prep kitchen only.

 

Am I responsible for setting up the tables and chairs for a wedding? 

No, we will set up your chairs and tables for you. As we get closer to your wedding date please let us know how many tables & chairs you will need.

May we serve alcohol?

Yes, alcoholic beverages are allowed, however alcohol cannot be sold without a liquor license from the STATE ABC board.  A bartender is required to monitor service and should be hired and paid by the lessee.  Event/Liability insurance is also required.  

Do I need to schedule a tour, or can I just stop by?

We kindly request that you schedule a tour with us.  We’d like to make sure that someone from Jordan's Barn staff is there to answer all your questions and show you all that Jordan’s Barn has to offer.

 

Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc.?

No. We provide an awesome venue, tables and chairs.

 

Is Jordan's Barn climate controlled?

Yes, absolutely! Ten units which provide a whopping 24 tons of heating and cooling!

Will there be another wedding on the same day?

No, we make sure that our couples are the only wedding on that date. Once we accept you binder your wedding date is not available to anyone else. We offer multiple ceremony locations but those are all yours for your wedding day. Utilize them all for pictures.

 

What happens in case of rain?

If you are planning to have your ceremony outdoors but the weather doesn’t cooperate on your wedding day, Jordan’s Barn is one of the few wedding venues in this area that can safely (and legally by fire code) accommodate up to 300 seated guests inside the Barn.

 

We plan to have our ceremony offsite and only plan to have our reception at Jordan's Barn. Does your fee change?

Because we only host one event per day, the price does not change whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both at Jordan's Barn.

 

Is Jordan's Barn at Kelly Creek dog-friendly?

Of course! But we do have a few stipulations. Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom. All waste must be disposed of in the dumpsters. They must be kept at least 20 feet away from food.

 

How late can my wedding reception last?

Weekend Wedding receptions must conclude by 10:00 p.m. Vendors have until midnight to be off property.

 

Is there power at the Ceremony Sites?

Inside, yes, and outside, under the covered arbor, there is power.  That is a popular spot for musicians.

Does Jordan's Barn have restrooms?

Yes! We have a ladies & men’s restroom downstairs and also a restroom in the bride & grooms’ rooms upstairs.   

How many people can be seated at the round tables?

We have 42 sixty-inch round tables that will seat up to 8 guests each.

Is there smoking allowed on the property? 

There is smoking allowed outside in designated areas.

 

How far in advance do you need our final headcount?

We require the final headcount 30 days before the event.

 

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?

Outside food and drink are permitted.  

 

Can vehicles be left overnight?

No, unless in extreme cases (intoxication, injury, etc.), or if you make arrangements beforehand.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

Yes, just 7 miles away are the Hilton Garden Inn Dothan, Sleep Inn & Suites Dothan North, Hampton Inn & Suites Dothan, Residence Inn by Marriott and Home2 Suites by Hilton Dothan.

What is not allowed?

-Birdseed, glitter, confetti, balloons, lanterns, faux flower petals, and pyrotechnics are not allowed on site.

-Any additional décor that is prone to fly away and become litter is prohibited. We cherish our wildlife and want no litter that could harm them.

-Candles are allowed if the flame is completely contained in a candle holder.

 

-No fireworks or fires, but sparklers during the exit are welcome.

 

-Furniture in the bridal room can NOT be moved to other areas of the barn/outside. ---Everything at Jordan's Barn was thoughtfully chosen, so please be respectful.  Any spills must be cleaned up immediately. Any spills left untreated will result in a cleaning fee.  Do not hang anything from the curtain rod.

 

-Parking is only allowed in the designated parking lot.
